Global Aquaponic Practitioner Survey Launched

Global Aquaponic Practitioner Survey Launched

We would like to invite you to participate in the Global Aquaponic Practitioner Survey (GAPS)!

Aquaponics is catching on; many farms have opened their doors since 2013, the year of the last survey of the field. Our international project investigates how aquaponics can be practiced in cities to satisfy growing food demand and relieve pressures on the environment. This survey will provide us with real-world information about existing aquaponic systems and farms which define current practices; all aquaponic farmers and researchers will also get a chance to opt in and become part of a public Global Aquaponic Directory managed by CityFood. Using all results from this survey, we aim to connect and empower aquaponic farmers, researchers and decision-makers.

The survey only takes 15-20 minutes to complete and will help us compile a report on the state of the field. As a participant, you will receive access to the report as soon as it is released. Your responses will be kept confidential and will be used solely for academic research. If you have any additional questions, please email us at cityfood@u.washington.edu.
