Living Labs
The CITYFOOD living labs will be used to demonstrate the positive impact of the IAAC (integrated aqua-agriculture) systems to engaged users, and to provide examples and educations to others interested in setting up IAAC systems, for example schools, hospitals, shopping malls.

Purpose
The four sites will evaluate the environmental impacts of the Living Labs, a life cycle assessment (LCA) will be conducted to examine the environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product’s life from raw material through production, distribution, use, maintenance and consumption.
The users of the Living Labs will participate in experiments to determine the suitability and acceptance of different fish and plant species for urban food production.
Four sites have been chosen to represent different climate, economy and community involvement to demonstrate the adaptability of the CITYFOOD system.
